HOW TO: Locate your DJI TXT flight logs

Flight Log Types

DJI drones create two types of flight logs: DAT flight logs, which are stored on the drone itself, and TXT flight logs, which are stored on the device running the DJI app, such as DJI Fly, during the flight.

DAT flight logs cannot be used because DJI does not allow them to be decrypted.

Where DJI Stores Flight Logs

TXT flight logs may be stored on a phone or tablet, a DJI remote controller with a built-in screen, such as the DJI RC 2, or DJI Goggles. The location of the flight logs depends on which device was used during the flight.

DJI may also store flight logs online. If you’ve synced your flights through the DJI app you’re using, they may be available in the DJI Cloud. If you’re using an agricultural drone, such as a DJI Agras model, your flight logs may also be available in DJI SmartFarm.

Note: Both Flight Reader Desktop and Flight Reader Web can import flight logs directly from the DJI Cloud. Flight Reader Web can also import flight logs directly from DJI SmartFarm.

Manually Retrieving Your Flight Log Files

Follow these instructions to locate your DJI TXT flight logs:

For Apple mobile devices, follow these instructions to retrieve your DJI GO TXT flight logs from iTunes. This process is pretty close if you’re using the newer Apple Devices app, which replaces iTunes on Windows. Or you can use the Flight Log Transfer Service to upload your flight logs from a web browser.
For Android mobile devices, connect your mobile device to a computer via a USB cable and go to:
- DJI GO 3
  - DJI\dji.pilot\FlightRecord
- DJI GO 4
  - DJI\dji.go.v4\FlightRecord
- DJI Fly
  - DJI\dji.go.v5\FlightRecord (for older versions of DJI Fly)
  - DJI\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord (for iOS devices)
  - or Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord (for Android devices)
- DJI Pilot 2
  - DJI\com.dji.industry.pilot\FlightRecord
- DJI SmartFarm
  
  Flight logs created by the DJI SmartFarm app cannot be retrieved manually. However, you can link your DJI SmartFarm account to Flight Reader Web and import your flight logs directly into the app. They can also be retrieved with the Flight Reader API.

Note: If you’re using an Android device and the log files are not visible or you’re not able to find a specific log file that should be there, then install and run SD Refresh or restart your mobile device.
For the DJI Smart Controller, RC, RC Pro, RC 2, or RC Plus remote controller, follow the instructions here.
For the Phantom 4 Adv/Pro + or Phantom 4 RTK remote controller, connect your remote controller to a computer via a USB cable and go to DJI\dji.pilot.pad\FlightRecord. If needed, you can find detailed instructions here.
For the DJI FPV, Avata, or other drones flown with DJI Goggles, you must copy the TXT flight logs from the DJI Goggles to a mobile device running DJI Fly like shown in this video.
