DJI FLY. Didn’t follow steps for firmware update. Can’t fly. I’m not a technical person. Help.
Some questions for you:
- What changed between now and the last time all worked as expected?
- What do you mean by “didn’t follow steps for firmware update”?
- What seems to be preventing you from flying?
- Do you see any error messages displayed at the top of DJI Fly, or after you tap that status message?
I was very excited to fly. I turned on everything then on my fly app it said firmware update available so I taped it. I didn’t wait for firmware update to finish…I then powered everything back on then my goggles said id remote error. So I powered everything off and tried again. Motors started and refused to lift off.
Why not? Did you complete the firmware update after powering everything back on again?
You can also update the firmware using DJI Assistant 2 (available here). That usually works when DJI Fly fails to update the firmware for whatever reason.
Also on the goggle display, left of the satellite display is a red arrow.
No did not complet firmware update.
Also, on the goggle display to the left of satellite display is a red arrow.
You should complete the firmware update before trying anything else.
How do I do that?
Either follow the prompts in DJI Fly or use the DJI Assistant 2 application.
