Will height change cause a crash

Interesting video, I waited for one of those sail boats to tip over and then they did not…, and then I guess the object was to sail around the buoys and some of them thought it was “bump the buoy…” L :joy: L . . .
I noticed that you did not take you baby over the water, “Chicken….”

I also noticed the powerboats in your video and wondered what the price of gasoline (petro) down under…

This graphic is from a couple of screen shots from Google Street View and neither is current…

Here, today in Virginia, it was $2.99 a gallon or $79 a liter or $1.27 AUS… What do you pay?

I think your math is a little goofy. “gas” is expensive but not $79 / liter lol
not sure exactly but the pic on the left would be close.
I paid AU$1.80/liter yesterday for diesel. theres a Shell service station near me that has a phone app. you click the save button and it takes it from shelf price and takes off a random save amount. So shelf price was AU$1.86/liter. i clicked the save button, and got 6 cents per liter off. you can get 2 cents, 6 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents off, or a free tank.
4 liters to a US gallon i think. so you can do the math on that, and convert the currency over.
i didnt go over the water as it was really windy, and that drone not proven that its ok yet.
i made a new mat for the drone last night. lots more art on it lol
i have another deep keel sail boat i chased as well. just a nice slow pan.
i might get enthusiastic and edit up a video for it shortly.

This was yesterday as well

Ha, Ha, Ha… Nothing goofy with my math, just my period key"." It should have read $.79 or more properly $0.79 or spelled out "seventy-nine cents… and that is in US currency…

So, yesterday you paid $1.80 AUS for a liter or $7.20 for 4-liters. Four liters is 1.06 times larger than a gallon and a gallon of diesel is $3.63, so four liters of Diesel would have cost me $3.63 times 1.06 equals $3.85 US for 4 liters of diesel which equates to $6.20 AUS for 4-liters or $1.85 AUS a liter.

Which I guess is not bad considering that Australia only produces some of its own fuel. Australia is considered a net importer of oil, meaning it produces significantly less than it consumes and relies heavily on imported fuel, with most of its domestically produced oil being exported instead; around 80% of Australia’s produced oil is exported, and it imports about 90% of its liquid fuel needs.

The same thing happens here and I do not understand the economics of it, we have to import some product but that same product that we produce is exported and we then have to import that same product back to meet our needs…

I will tease you all day about being a chicken and not flying over the water and as you know, I’ve had my drone for about 3-years and you still do not see any videos of over water flights from me, so you may hear me “clucking” here too. Well, I am jumping to conclusions, the chickens here in the US “cluck…”

Do Australian chicken have an Aussie Accent? Like, “Cluck-o mate?” L o L . . .

The Deep Keeler video was pleasant to watch, it did not look like it was about to dip a sail in the water…

I do not understand the that “Save Button” you mentioned, is it a random saving, like spin the wheel?

We buy most of our gas from a supermarket chain (Kroger) that has its own gas stations. When we buy groceries, we get a one penny credit for every dollar we spend on groceries… With each 100 credits ($100 of groceries) you get a onetime $0.10, ten cents off a gallon of gas. You can accumulate up to 1,000 points a month for a total of up to $1.00 off every gallon of gas. It is good for one fill up, you cannot bring back a second car and also get that discount. You can split the credits up (in groups of 100 and spread it over a month and the credit will roll over to a second month.

They also have specials that offer bonus points. For Military (active or retired) we get 4 times credits on any Friday. Gift Cards also get 4-times credits, as well as others specials…

We have 3-vehicles, a Honda, a Toyota (both use gas) and I have a big Dodge Ram 4x4 Diesel Truck and it scarfs fuel at about 20-miles a gallon. It’s fuel tank is 42 gallons…

Since we shop big on Fridays, we often get close to the max credits each month and we split them up over the three vehicles…

Well, I’d better get going, talk to you later…

G’day. i thought the decimal might have moved lol.
90% of our fuel comes from overseas. I had to google that as we lost our refinery quite a long way back.
They decided been that we are so dry down here that we needed a desalinization plant.
A lot of drama and everything to get it going and, it has never been used since it was made.
According to google its been used to help the farmers, but thats google AI lies lol
Ive been over water a fair bit, just not since the drone misbehaved. To get out to where it would be good over the water i would be 300 odd feet/100 meters. Thats a long way in the wind we have been having lately. Once ive put it through its paces, i might venture out a little bit.
As for the aussie cluck, they dont say much by the time they get to me. Normally had a hour in the rotisery lol.
The save button. on the app it comes up and says SAVE. You click that button on the app, and you, well, save money by getting the discount on the fuel price.
Good to see they look after the military. We owe so much to those who protect us, and yet alot of vets come back from a tour and are that messed up that they end up on the streets. I think thats shameful. ive never served, but i have a lot of respect for those who have.
As for cars, ive only the 1. Ford Territory. ex police car. 2013. He does good. diesel of course. lots of power via the turbo. i think when the police had it they may have added a bigger turbo.
Averages about 9 liters to the 100 km. So about 26 mpg i think. Nice can but its over 2 tons.
Id like to get a “truck” but they are too high for mum to get in to when i go pick her up to take her out.

Your “little” Territory on goes a little over two-tons… My Ram goes over 7,200 pounds and that is over 3-1/2 tons… I Googled “Ford Territory” and nothing comes up equivalent in the US, it says the Terriory is only sold in South America and Asia… So, you know what that means, “Youse not an Aussie, Youse Asian…” Blame it on Google AI… L  L . . .

Beside a boosted up Turbo, you might also have some enhanced Chips in the Computer… Here is the states, the police are pretty good at downgrading their used vehicles back to civilian status, but not all…

My Ram’s engine is a 6-cylinder, 360 cubic Inch engine (5,900 cc) that puts of 235 horsepower and 460 ft-lbs of torque. Can you say “Youza…”

As you can see, it sits 27" high to the inner door frame and the wife cannot not easily enter it either. I built her a small box that acts like a step for her to get in and out. It is not our primary vehicle…

They are predicting another Polar Express to hit us and much of the US. We might get from 2" to 6" of snow and they have already cancelled school for several days. Monday (tomorrow), President Trump is sworn into office and it is also Martin Luther King Day, so it is a federal holiday every years and with the projected snow and ice, I do not expect to see much in the next few days…

Funny thing about gas prices, When I lived in the state of Texas, they were the number one oil producing state in the country. And they had the refineries to process it, but for some ungodly reason gas cost more in Texas than the surrounding states…

Well, later…

Actually my territory was made in broadmeadows, Melbourne Australia.
They stopped making them here in 2016.
My car only has the police loom for the wiring and the big turbo. Not sure on the advanced chip. found out about the wiring when they rubbed against a little secondary radiator thats hidden in the bumper. rubbed a hole on the side. took the mechanics hours to find it as they didnt know it was there.
Martin Luther King was a great man. Trump… not so much
All our gas/petrol/diesel comes in to port Adelaide. If you get fuel there it is more expensive there, then what it is in Virginia, which is a half an hour truck drive

@LoudThunder are you ok over there?

Thanks for asking, I am A-OK, all is well. I actually did log on, I had noting to post and you had not posted anything, so…

Yesterday, we spent the day doing real estate stuff, We are looking at another place. We’re in out mid-70s now and our house is larger than we need and mowing, raking, and house repairs are not the “funnest” things to do…

We had put an offer on a place for 55+ active seniors and the we spent most of the day hasing out the offer, counter offer, and the counter-counter offer… we offered full price, cash sale, but asked for some of the furniture that had been installed. Televisions that been installed on the wall with hidden channels to hide the wires, and a few other things, like book case (that look like they are installed, but really are not.

The woman who owns the place is going into an assisted living facility (cost $5,000 to $8,000 a month) and the daughter is handling the Trust Sale and I think she is worried that Mom will use up all of the Daughter’s “inheritance…” I hate that when the children think that the parents should not burn up all of their own money for their own well being… I actually do not know if this is happening here, I’m just guessing.

We are going to make one last “all in, final offer” and we are reducing the cash offer and if they take the television, they must repair the wall and remove the in-wall wire channel and patch and paint it in a “Workmanlike Manner” which is a legal term which means that any repair work must be done to the standard of quality expected from a Skilled Professional in the field.

We do not want some joker to just slap up some wallboard, spackle, and slop some paint over it…

Last night, we got more snow and I was out again flying the drone but it was horrible, my fingers were freezing, those screen touch gloves are not adequate for 22-Degree F (-5-degrees C). and I just finished the Quick-Transfer from the drone and then some editing…

Hey, I just remembered, I did post yesterday, not on this thread, but on the note I posted about CapCut. Day before yesterday, when President Trump took office, Capcut shut donw the servers because they too are owned by the same company that owns TicTok, but it started working again yesterday and I posted that note…

Well, that’s about it for now. With the snow, everything is delayed or closed down and I do not know if the real estate agents will go to work, I imagine so, there is an $26,000 commission that those agents and agencies split…

Here is the US the standard commission for selling a property is 6%. There is the listing agent (seller’s agent) and the buyer’s agent. If the seller’s agent also finds the buyer, they get it all. (Half goes to the agency that the real estate agent works for and the agency gets half. If the buyer’s agent works for another company, the two split the commission, with all getting 25%, each agent get one quarter and each agency gets one quarter.

Some real estate agents get rich, other (who might not be so aggressive…) probably need part time work to get food on the table…

Well, I better get going. Later.

Good to hear your ok.
I did post in here. My car was made in Melbourne Australia post ?
The house im in, Dad bought me and my now ex wife.
Mum n Dad were just driving around when they seen an open inspection.
As they do, they popped in for a look. Mortgagee sale. That when the bank took it back when the lone wasnt fully paid off. $38,000 about 25 years ago. worth $120,000.
My Dad is the best. I miss him.
Good to hear you had more snow.
I flew yesterday out on the orchid. playing around with 360° photos at low level.
1.5 meters / 5 feet off the deck, right in the middle of the tree row. looked good, but i wish i had done it later in the day so the light caught the nuts a bit better. Took one up high as well.
Ive had no internet here for 28 hours now. they cant get in to repair it because its in a restricted railway space. i assume that it means they cant get in to fix the fibre optic cables until the line shuts down between 1am and 5am. surviving using my mobile to make a hotspot for wifi, and logging in via my laptop instead of the pc. hope its sorted soon. 19in laptop screen gets the job done, but i miss the 43in monitor.
ok thats me done. Glad to hear your ok.

The first post in there is the 360° photo. for some reason it wont link direct to it, just to the group.

We are not going to buy the new place… The seller played, “you give up a foot and I’ll give up an inch,” so we pulled our offer. An hour later our agent called back and the seller had rethought our offer after we pulled it, they realized that “He who cares the least, wins…” and they made a lot of concessions, but by then, “the blush was off the rose…” (That means we just did not care anymore and the excitement was gone. Well, that’s life…

I went to your Facebook page and checked out your 360s, they are cool. You shuld post them on Google Earth and Google Maps… Facebook does not let the viewer zoom in and it only shows half a screen…

Her are three examples. Yours on Facebook and two from Googel Earth, one Zoomed out for a full view and the other Zoomed in to see lots of detail…

I still believe you should post in Facebook, but also doing it on Google Earth is fun…

Finally, I saw your drone is all its Cammy Color… I have read that Australia has more species of animals, reptile, and insects that can eat, cripple, poison, and kill a person than any other continent… It looks like your drone want to join the list. It looks Bad!!! (that is an American Expression the means that is good… Not an insult… in case Aussies do not use that expression…).

Later…

Two Photospheres from the snow fall this morning, 22 Jan 2025…

Both are Scrollable and Zoomable…

looks pretty all blanketed in snow.
No matter what i do the pictures on google maps dont come up like that.
ive given up. my 360° pix are just for an over view.
I did 2 google maps pix and i cant find either on the map.
Went out today. Randomly went and picked up mum. took her to another reservoir.
yes i know one of the videos is dark lol you get that on windy cloudy days.
I really wanted to get on to the tower for a closer fly around, but its a long way over the water and windy, and you cant see the level of obstruction behind the tower to know if the drones safe. they closed off the walking track so made it a little hard
Did a 360° over the water as well … im not yella lol

Hey, you did it and it looks great, only one critique your sky is ugly, to clouded over. When this happens to me and it does, I still post. Later if I get a better one, I go back and delete the old one and replace it with the new one…

Do you know how to go in and delete an old posting of a photo or video? If you do not, let me know, I’ll show you, it’s relatively easy, it’s just not obvious…

I’ll also tell you how to post it with it’s “Best Side…”

I googled “Thorndon Park Reserve” to see who else had done this and it appears that this is a popular place. There are 11 other 360s posted, but 9 of them are from ground level and only Pete Bartel did one from the air back in 2021.

Once again, Well Done, and now you can post all those other 360s and you will soon be known all around the world. Everything posted on Google Maps or Earth are also posted on the other…

i didnt get it right though. they all have the little blue circle and i dont.
Took a heap of 360s today. all the different places i normally go with mum on sundays.
