Travelling through Qatar with DJI drone

I will be flying with Qatar airways from Brazil to New Zealand in January 2023 with a 4 day stop in Doha between my flights. I will be travelling with a DJI Mini 3 Pro. I have researched that non residents are not allowed to fly drones in Qatar, but am I allowed to simply have my drone with me and not fly it so I can continue with it to New Zealand?

If I am not allowed to enter Qatar with a drone is there a system at the airport for me to check in my drone and retrieve it when I am leaving Qatar 4 days later? Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I would advise you to write to all three embassies, Brazilian, Qatar, and New Zealand, and get a reply in writing. You also need to contact the Airline and ensure you are following all of their rules. Some airlines (various national carriers) require a special Lipo Fireproof Safe and/or Explosion Proof Battery Bag.
