It’s been awhile since I have checked in and have just been dealing with this problem for several years! It was discussed back then but I never saw an answer that worked. I got tired of DEALING WITH IT and ended up figuring it out.
My 2 pro worked fine for a long time. Pull the sd card out and my Mac book pro would read it just fine. No problem. Then something changed and all of a sudden my Mac book would not read it. There was lots of discussion about it back then but nothing helped. I could leave the card in the drone and hook up the drone to the Mac book and get my data that way. But did not like that because you had to have drone on. But it has been the only way to get the data. I avoided using the drone because of this. My 3 classic does not have this problem.
The fix! At one point I bought a bunch of 32g cards (scan disk extreme pro). This is where the problem started but I missed the link thinking it was an update problem of some kind. In fact I am still not sure it was not an update? Anyway, the 32g cards when formatted with in the drone, could not be read by the Mac book. The Mac book could though read the same cards formatted in my 3 classic or Nikon DSLR. What changed?
Well, the smaller cards use a different (format). The mavic 2 needs higher gig cards (64g & up) to work right. Put them in and I have no problems. Put a 32g in and it is not read on the Mac book after footage is taken.
Now again, perhaps this has all been discussed and worked out but I never saw it nor can I google the answer. I have just dealt with it for years . Perhaps something with the Mac book? I really don’t think so.
