Ruko R111 doesn't display on Device Search page

I just received my Ruko remote module R111, but I can’t see it on my Ruko Scanner app while using my iPhone 12. The list that displays on the Device Search page is empty. I have tried turning my iPhone’s Bluetooth off and back on. I have turned the Ruko and my iPhone off and on, but nothing helps. I already registered the serial number with the FAA. What’s wrong?

I searched on AI and got the answer! The following step is what fixed it:

Go to Settings > Privacy > Bluetooth and Location Services to confirm these are enabled for the app.

If I recall with setting up mine after turning it on I had to press the other button to activate it so that it would appear in the app. I hardly ever press the 2nd button anymore now. I usually just turn it on and I’m done with it. I figure that’s enough on my end. I’m sure I’m wrong about flying without checking to see if it’s actually broadcasting. In the app.

I am having the same problem but with an Android. I allowed all settings including location and even access to phone. I can press the right buttons and the app sees the R111S and displays its serial number, but when I click on it it always pops up with “unable to connect to device”. Any ideas?

I have the Ruko 111 (no “S”) and I use both the Ruko App and the Drone Scanner App and both work with issue on my three Android devices (a Motorola G Power, a Galaxy Tab S2, and a Galaxy Tab A8). Try the Drone Scanner App too and see if that helps, it’s at the Google Ply Store (FREE)…
