RC2 microSD card

What can be recorded on the MicroSD memory card and how do you get it to record? The MicroSD card in the drone records all of the flight data but I never get anything recorded on the MicroSD card in the RC2.

The DJI RC 2’s microSD card can record and store screenshots and screen recordings, which are initially saved to the controller’s internal memory but can be migrated to the microSD card via the DJI Fly app’s settings. It can also be used to store low-resolution cached video and images transferred from the drone.

How to set up the SD card for storage:

  1. Insert the microSD card: into the microSD card slot on the DJI RC 2 controller.
  2. Power on the controller: with the card inserted.
  3. Launch the DJI Fly app: on the controller.
  4. Navigate to Profile > Settings > Storage .
  5. Select “SD Card”: under storage settings.
  6. Tap “Switch”: and confirm the action to migrate data and set future recordings to the SD card.

Where to find your files:

  1. Screenshots: will be saved in the “Pictures” folder.
  2. Screen recordings: will be located in the “Movies” folder.

Thanks, great writeup!

Please be advised that Screen shots are stored in the Pictures folder on the Internal drive even if you select the storage to be the SD card (due to an error in the firmware). This has been fixed once before at Fly App 1.17.7, but returned on 1.18 (and is still as a problem).
