I have a Mini 4 Pro and have downloaded the newest firmware 01.00.0700. I do not get the correct displays in ActiveTrack. When I select a target my display shows “ActiveTrack Spotlight POI”. When I select “ActiveTrack” and “Go” I do not get the “Trace Parallel” options above. Instead, “Auto Manual Parallel” options appear above “Autotrack Stop POI”. When flying in ActiveTrack, I do get the display with the inner and outer circles (Trace display?). In addition, and possibly related to the incorrect display issue, I can’t keep the drone in AutoTrack mode very long. The red “Stop” button goes away relatively quickly and the drone goes into Spotlight mode (drone hovers but continues to track the subject).
Any ideas on how to correct the incorrect display and remain-in-ActiveTrack issues?
Thanks, --Dave
I’m also having an issue with active track. I tried using it in a wide open area with no obstructions at all. I’m on a tandem and when i select myself in the area and start auto active track, the drone flies for a short distance and then loses me and stops. Is it because someone else is in close proximity?
Steve, I’ve learned that the max distance for tracking is 50 meters. Worse, the drone doesn’t always know its correct distance from you. But, by setting both my inner and outer circle maximums to within 50 meters it’s doing a good job tracking me (including 180 degree turns). Hope this helps.

Hi Dave, thanks for the info. I’ll try it out. I was on a mountain top on a flat calm day with not a single obstruction anywhere so I was quite frustrated at drone performance when you see some of the footage that others can produce .
I have testet the ActiveTrack quite a lot, and I can confirm that if you want to use the Auto function, you cannot go very fast, and the area around need to be free of obstacles (otherwise it will stop). You can see how well it performs in open areas here: https://youtu.be/3Y97Zy5roWM.
The ActiveTrack Manual is the same as the previous Parallel.
When selecting ActiveTrack, Spotlight is chosen automatically first. If you want ActiveTrack Auto or Manual, you really do not have a lot of time to decide. Select and then press go. Otherwise it goes back to Spotlight.
Both Auto and Manual ActiveTrack works perfectly when not moving to fast and no obstacles nearby (it is really touchy about the obstacles and the drone also slows down when getting close (and hence looses you if you e.g.are on a bike).
Another thing to be aware of on sunny days, is that the sensors may interpret sun as an obstacle (especially if some of the sensors are not fully clean (e.g. have a fingerprint or something on them).
This video shows how that can be (in RTH mode): https://youtu.be/1y1YXIN8yeU
