M350 numbers of taken pictures different in log

Hello,
we have a unclear phenomenon with log files of our Matrice M350.
On the DJI RCplus-controller we see the flight log.
It shows 577 taken pictures, please see attached screenshoots.

But the converted log-file (from RCplus controller DJI\com.dji.industry.pilot\FlightRecord) with flight reader 1.6.24 does only show 266 pictures.

Txt-log-file attached.
DJIFlightRecord_2025-01-08_[11-40-35].txt (3.6 MB)

Is there a difference to the DAT-file?

It is 100% the same flight, as we had only one on this day.
Is this a known problem?
How can we solve this and convert the logfiles correct?

Many thanks
Maik

Thank you for sharing that flight log!

The TXT flight log has an internal count of 577 photos. You won’t be able to view data from the DAT flight log, but it should contain the same photo data.

Do you happen to have a list of the photos and timestamps from that flight?

But if Im convert the log-txt-file to CSV with Flightreader i have only 266 lines = 266 photos in the csv?
What Im doing wrong?
DJIFlightRecord_2025-01-08_[11-40-35]-photos.csv (86.9 KB)

Also if im using the online-version of FlightReader .
In column “CAMERA.isPhoto” =true I see only 266 photos.
We see column “DETAILS.photoNum”, but there is in all lines only a fixed value 577 (which does not help)

Yes, we want have a list with taken photos with time stamp and GPS.
For geological purpose.

Many thanks for your fast help
and greetings from Germany

The photos are not being extracted properly. There must be a defect somewhere in the code.

Could you share that list? I’d like to compare your data against the photo data in the TXT flight log to help pinpoint the issue.

Currently we don’t have a list, our idea was to use FlightReader to create this list.

Because the time stamp and GPS-data in the photos have also a software bug (but its related to camera supplier/gimbal-supplier and DJI via Skyport V2)

Are you able to tap on the photos in the above playback on the remote controller to jump to those points on the flight path? If so, can you tap the first photo and snap a screenshot so I can see the GPS location at the bottom right corner?

Hi,
no I can not click on the photos.
I can only use play and pause (and hope I press pause at the right time), than I can see the GPS-location. In the lower right corner seems to be not the first picture. After 33-35m flight distance should be the first picture.

this is right corner

I’ve fixed this issue and will have a new Flight Reader build available later today. I’ll send you an email when it’s ready.

In the meantime, here’s the updated photo log:

@Mboehmeke Flight Reader version 1.7.1 is available here.

Many thanks for fast response/ fast correction and new version of Flight Reader, we will re-processing our last flights now
