I have a Mini Pro 4 with updated firmware: I have done it in the past (maybe a year ago), but I have been unsuccessful to UNLOCKING Authorization Zones. Can somebody give me a rundown of how to do it? All previous instructions only say go to… follow the instructions- never works, so I need more help than that.

In the USA, DJI no longer uses active, hard-stop geofencing in the US. As of January 2025, they transitioned to an advisory-only system, converting all previous “No-Fly Zones” into Enhanced Warning Zones. While the app still displays restricted airspace and Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) using FAA data, it will not physically prevent the drone from taking off or entering that airspace.

DJI rolled out a global update to its GEO system that applies to all international markets.Under this change, instead of the drone automatically preventing takeoff or forcing a landing in restricted areas, all former NFZs were reclassified as Enhanced Warning Zones. You will still receive a prominent alert on your screen, but you can choose to acknowledge the warning and fly into or through the space. The manual GEO Unlock Request service has been completely retired.
