GEPRC CineLog35 V2 HD O3 FPV 6S PNP with head tracking gimbal

Hi drone friends,
I hope you can help me. I want to buy a drone from GEPRC, the CineLog35 V2 HD O3 FPV 6S PNP. This drone has the DJI O3 FPV camera. I want to fly this drone with the DJI goggles 3 and the DJI controller 3. The DJI goggles 3 are now compatible with the DJI O3 FPV camera. I want to buy the HEQ G-Port gimbal. Is it possible to use the head tracking function of the DJI goggles 3 with the HEQ G-Port gimbal or do I need a separate head tracking module?

Link to the HEQ G-Port gimbal:

Thanks and best regards
Andy

I am curious why you want to cob together all these mismatched components into a “Rube Goldberg” device when so many outstanding systems are already on the market and have been proven to work.

Is it to attain some new feature not available off a commercially available product or is it a cost savings measure?

Inquiring Minds Want to Know…

Hi,

thanks for your reply. Before I wanted to buy a DJI Avata 2. After some recherche I decided to buy the CineLog35 with a 3-axis head tracking gimbal. The Avatar 2 does not support head tracking in manual mode. You can use head tracking only with the motion controller.

You mentioned that there are so many outstanding systems already on the market. Can you recommend me a similar setup? Important is a 3-axis head tracking with the goggles.

Thanks

Best regards from Germany

Andy

Andy,

You answered it… I do not understand " The Avatar 2 does not support head tracking in manual mode", but I will accept that it is a feature that is important to you so I accept it.

You have done your research and you know what you want to do and that is really so fantastic. I am on several other web sites and so many members ask what drone they should buy and they have yet to decide what they want to do with their drone.

I ask them what do they want to do, Photography, Videography, Infrastructure Inspections (Bridges, Towers, Windmills, etc…), Surveying, Post disaster Insurance Inspections, Crop Inspections, Agricultural Applications (Fertilizer, Pesticides and Herbicides), Media (Television and News Print), Facility and Event Security, and Small Package Delivery, just to name a few…

And they just stare ahead are like deer in the headlights. They seem to think that one drone is a perfect drone for everything…

You know what you want, and I hope you are able to find what you are looking for, I am sorry, I can be of no service, here.

I would advise you to also look at other Web sites that might specialize in these systems.

Good Luck from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, USA.

I hesitate to tell you that you don’t really want to have head tracking while in Manual mode. But, how can you fly Manual if the gimbal isn’t fixed?
