Galaxy S10 not approved for Mavic Pro - Nov2019

Frustrating. I’ve been using my original Mavic Pro with an S6 for over two years. Then, I JUST upgraded to the latest S10 (not an “e” or a “+”) and it won’t work. The remote will not connect.
So, I just called DJI technical support (Nov. 12, 2019) and they said the S10 is NOT currently compatible (only up to the S9). The guy said I could use my old S6 as a non-network-connected controller, but I see that other support groups list the S10 as working with the DJI GO app. Sorry if this question has been beaten to death (though I have looked around and only just registered with this group).
Is there an easy fix or work-around (other than doing some developer mode mod)?

Spoke with DJI and Verizon again. Seems I can continue to use my S6 without a network access, and it will work just fine (same range and all). DJI said that the remote will work fine without a network connection and even get the links satellites (for home location). Will try.

my son uses his S10 note with no issues.

Interesting. Thanks. I wish I knew how he did it! When I called DJI the tech support guy said “no” it’s not compatible at this time (only up to the S9).

If I might follow-up… does your son own a Mavic Pro (not the “2” but just the original “Pro” - not the Mini or Air, etc.)?

correct. mavic pro 1.

Thanks again. Much appreciated.
Now, if only I could figure out how to get it to work… though I’ve tried a lot. That’s why I called DJI tech support (only to learn it wasn’t compatible, yet).
I’ve tried plugging in and all that (even re-downloading the DJI app) but no luck.
Odd.

I got his cable from amazon. Its using the charger port to the phone instead of the larger port. I dont think it makes a difference though.

Thanks again. I, too, acquired some new cables from Amazon… one to use the existing side cable (USB-B to USB-C, and other to use the supposedly more reliable USB-A at the bottom to the phone). All with no luck.
I’d try an order from DJI if they didn’t previously tell me it won’t work. Very strange.
I may keep my old S6 just for flying the drone (since it will work fine without a network connection - which the DJI tech confirmed and I have subsequently confirmed myself)… and it even links up to satellites for the Home establishment.
