A majority of locations where I fly my DJI Mini Pro 4 do not have Wi-Fi access. This puts major distance and altitude limits on the flights. What can be done about this?

Why do you need Wi-Fi access to fly?
Assuming that your drone is bound to your DJI Account, there is no reason for DJI Mini Pro 4 to have major distance and altitude limits. If your DJI drone is not bound to a DJI account, you will typically be limited to just five flights. After these initial attempts, flight functions will be locked, restricting the drone to 30 meters (98 feet) in height and 100 meters (328 feet) in distance until it is successfully bound to an account.
As for the need for WiFi, well, you need that to open your DJI account and bind the drone to your account… Also you only need WiFi for updates after that…

I do have a DJI account and the drone is bound to that account. It works fine when in wi-fi range. Just tried in an area without cell /wifi service today and after logging in to the controller, it searches for a Wi-Fi connection and fails. The message then is that the altitude and distance will be restricted.
This has happened to me also. It sucks being limited in this way as I have an account and managed to login on getting home. But my footage of the day was somewhat curtailed by the restrictions imposed.
@Paul-Aikido_3 if you verify you’re logged in before heading out to fly, you should still be logged in when you arrive at your intended flight area.
That said, I know there are some edge cases. For example, some people may be off the grid for an extended period of time and either accidentally log out or get logged out while they have no Internet connection available to log back in.
That is the oddest thing, I had just updated my mini 4 pro firmware prior to my flight. Checked my batteries were fully charged even re calibrated gimbal and compass everything all up and working. Yet as soon as I got to the site it said login. Then several times more and finally check internet connection and lockout. Rather confused me somewhat.
Some DJI aircraft won’t let you fly at all without logging in. Safest thing (although it still is no guarantee) is to fire up the RC /app before heading out the door and make sure you are logged in. Often fw updates will log you out, so be sure to check if you do one.
Thanks good suggestion I shall definitely be doing that or even trying taking my mini wi fi unit.
