Yes it does.
You can’t delete it.
It isn’t used to track you.
It is used for warranty and DJI Care.

However, if you fly with a Plus battery, instead of the Regular battery, you are transmitting RID, and anyone with an appropriate RID tracker or tracking app can track you and the drone during flight.

So use a Mini 4 Pro regular battery ONLY.
You also can’t use a Mini 3 Pro regular battery, as it weighs 6g too much, and will ALSO cause RID to be broadcast.

RID is the same as plane transponder? so would show up on the plane tracking app?

No. RID broadcasting is a completely different system and much less powerful, requiring a drone tracking app or an RID tracking device.

Is there one you recommend that will work in Australia ?

RID transmission is made by Blue Tooth and has only about 1,000 foot (300-meters) range under perfect condition, but with trees, buildings, other source of RF transmission, it is closer to 100-feet (30-meters…).

This is a posting of mine from a year ago.

And here is a more recent posting about the RID Module I use today, because my Mini 2 does not have that capability and when I fly using my Part 107 certification, my drone must be transmitting RID…

And my Ruko RID module will work anywhere in the world, even in the “wrong hemisphere…” (Private joke between Rover and me…)
