DJI Mavic low light photography

How to optimize low-light photography in the Mavic Air 2 and Mavic 2 Pro or Zoom using HYPERLIGHT (Smart Photo)

Nice, and I always love Vic’s tutorials

But since Hyperlight just produces a JPG and won’t allow you to save DNG. I do the following:

Since I didn’t watch the video, perhaps he covers this: I shoot in BURST mode (not HDR) to DNG and stack the 5 images in Photoshop in ‘mean’ mode (doing an auto-align first). This reduces noise and allows mapping in ACR to adjust tones (raise the shadows without too much noise).

This is essentially what Hyperlight is doing, but you have access to fine tuning of how much.levels get adjusted and other things, all in RAW.

So you can shoot high ISO and low SS with this method.

Note: I see now that the title mentions Mavic and not Mavic 2 Pro, so you may/may not have burst mode (the M2P does).

See the attached image for a low-rez example.
