DJI Goggles3 how to view and upload logs

Good morning everybody! Just signed up. I’m using the goggles 3 with the min 4 pro and the RC-2. I’ve used DJI flight log viewer with my Air 2S before, but not sure what to do with the goggles. I have DAT files on the goggles, but can’t access them other than with DJI assistant 2, but DJI encrypts the files. Couldn’t find anything under the topics. Thanks so much
John

Have you tried transferring your TXT flight logs like this?

I tried that yesterday, but he is using a phone. I don’t have a phone or tablet that will run DJI fly app without conflicts ( android). I’m trying to do it with the RC-2 controller and the goggles. My goggles just show DAT files no TXT files when I plug into the PC and use DJI assistant 2.

How did you try it yesterday then?

Yes, that’s working as designed. You need to connect the goggles to DJI Fly to generate the TXT flight log files.

Are you able to connect the goggles to your RC 2 (instead of an Android phone) as shown in that video? If that doesn’t work, then you’ll need to find an Android mobile device that can run DJI Fly.

I found that same video while searching another forum online yesterday. I did follow that video, but using the RC-2 not a phone. You’re right about the Android mobile device. I need to find an older phone. My phone and tablet ( Android ) used to work until they updated. I just thought there might be another way.

Just did some experimenting with your setup above and I was able to successfully download the flight logs to my iPhone following the video above. I had no luck getting them to download to the RC 2.

Thank you so much. It looks like that is the only way to get the logs, that is by phone. I’ve been looking for an older Android phone. I think I’ll look at iPhone. I would really just use the phone to get the logs. Can you tell me what iPhone you used?

I was using an iPhone 16 Pro. But, I’m sure it would work with any iPhone that can run DJI Fly.

OK. Thanks again

Hello, I encountered a similar problem, I was using a drone with a Dji o4 Air Unit Pro and Dji Goggles 3, recently I lost the drone while flying and couldn’t find it, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to read these logs in .DAT format to see the drone’s latest coordinates?

The .DAT may be encrypted. But, if you can provide it I can take a look. I’ll be using CsvView and/or DatCon to decode it if it’s not encrypted. This software can be found here
https://datfile.net/

Unfortunately, as far as I understand, the logs on Dji Goggoles 3 are encrypted. I tried to connect the goggles to Dji Fly, they are displayed in the application as connected, but in the Flight Data Center only the records from my mavic are displayed.
