DJI Fly App Suddenly Recording with no Drones?

I’ve been using DJI Fly since 2016 or so and this is the first time this has ever occurred.

Out of the blue I started getting notifications on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra) and when I opened the drop down this is what I saw. This has NEVER happened before and I can’t imagine what/why the app would be recording. I’m not flying, no drones are even on, so I’m at a loss as to what’s going on.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas what might be going on?

If you have been using the same phone and app, perhaps it is time to reset the phone, clear memory, save all the files (photos. Music, etc…) to a safe location, and reload the Fly App.

When the DJI Fly app says “recording,” it means the app is actively saving the video feed from the drone’s camera to the drone’s onboard memory or the connected mobile device’s cache. You say you that no drones are on, so it might somehow connected to the phone’s cache… IDKH… :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

This function can also apply to a screen recording of the app’s interface, which can include audio from the mobile device’s microphone (your phone…), depending on the specific settings and drone model.

Good Luck, I’m out of ideas…
