What is the hood covering the dual lens that comes with the DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo? Is it simply a UV lens protector?

Are you referring to the Gimbal cover that protects the gimbal during non-use, transport, or storage? IF you are, then after you put in the battery, unfold the arms and your are ready to turn it on then you remove the gimbal cover… The Gimbal is the most sensitive part of the drone and you do not treat it unkindly…

No, I am talking about the cover on the camera lens. It is removed by turning to the left and can be replaced with the ND filters.

Hi, I believe that it is just a little extra protection for your camera lens. Much like we used to fit a ‘sacrificial’ uv lens to our normal cameras.
