Hello everyone. My mini 4 pro had fallen from 30 meters to short grass ground. Surprisingly for me, there are no broken parts on the outside, just a few small scratches. So I was happy for a moment.
Here is the problem, when the rc controller is close to the drone (10-15 cm), the connection is really unstable. It just connects and disconnects randomly, and I don’t get full 4 bars of signal. When I am 3-4 steps away from the drone with the controller, the connection is a little better, 3-4 bars mostly.
I talked with a guy who repairs dji drones and he said something like “it might be the rf module and if it is, you should just buy a new drone”. also i have camera lens error and he said it’s probably the ptz cable.
what should i do now? do you think i can save the drone? thanks for reading.
I am guessing that you do not have (or it’s expired…) Care Refresh if you are outside the US (you use metric measurements…). If you are outside the US, you might want to send it to a DJI Repair facility and for a small charge and postage, they will provide you an estimate of the repair cost and in most cases you would receive a Fresh Refurbished Drone… What would the DJI repairman say about giving it to him or his company for repair?
Finally, if you are in the US, then you will find it extremely difficult to find a repair facility that has the parts it might need… And sending it outside the US to a DJI repair facility is not an option either as they will not accept drones from outside their regional due to possible firmware differences…
Here is the US before all the problems, there are numerous DJI stores, but there were also DJI repair centers… Contact DJI through the web site and look for a local repair facility, rather than a store… he store may be bottom fishing and hope to hook you into spending money you do not need to… I know that some countries do not have a DJI repair facility, but DJI support on line can better advise you…
