Hi, I was out this afternoon flying my Mini 4 pro, when I got home and downloaded my video one of the videos was blurry, well about 2 mins of it then it went ok and clear, all the other videos turned out fine, any ideas ?
Assuming you made no changes to the cameras while flying, were you flying into the Sun when the video went blurry?
Notice what happens when I turn into the Sun. I had to edit out the worse parts… The video is over 7-minutes long, but it starts with the “Solar Flares…”
That would make sense bud, thd sun was low in the sky, and thats when it went blurry.
Condensation in lens/camera until the drone warmed up?
The thing is it was about the 3rd video it happened with only in the middle of the video then it went ok after, might have been because the sun was low in the sky and the light was going too
That is what I wrote over two weeks ago and even included a video to show how it happened to me…
Direct, intense sunlight can cause the autofocus on your gimbal to struggle by overwhelming contrast-detection systems, leading to “hunting,” where the lens moves back and forth without locking focus.
And also direct sun can cause auto exposure to struggle, often leading to underexposed subjects (silhouettes) because the camera tries to balance extreme brightness. Bright sunlight can overwhelm sensors, making images appear washed out, while the camera may mistake the bright scene for daylight, resulting in greyish, underexposed snow or sand.
Now that you suspect the low sun could be shining onto and into your lens, now would be a good time to test it… Climb up a hundred feet of so and then start doing some slow circles or at least semi circles with the sun being same area of the arc … try it with the gimbal set at different heights, high, level, slightly down and really down…
Just keep the sun in the same area of the arc… As in start, your semi-circle directly from the North, ending when the drone is facing South… I am pretty sure you will find that the sun is causing your blurring issues
Thanks bud i did look into what you said and I think I had the same problem
I’ll let you know how I get on when I next get out with the drone
