Do i need to bind or unbind my p4 i bought to off ebay and i couldn’t find anything about it in the GO APP some say it will fly just fine without doing anything and then i read i have to unbind and rebind ? Im pulling my hair out in a panic!! Help
To unbind it you will need the “owner” whose DJI Account it is attached to to do this for you or to give you the email address and password… This preprocess is to protect the owner from theft…
Have you contacted the ebay seller about this? Have you contacted eBay about this? If you cannot get it unbound and you need to log back in for some reason, and you cannot, that drone will be only good as a yard toy as its range will be severely limited…
DJI might do this for you if you can PROVE that the sale was legitimate…
Thank you for your help, how do i check to see if it bound or unbound i tried to find it in the app. But couldn’t find anywhere? And does dji have a hot line for this…
I do not own a P4 and I now think I am wrong about the binding of the drone to an account… If so, then you can ignore the previous warning.
These YouTube Videos probably provide the instructions you need to fly your Drone.
Good Luck!
Awsome thank u so much for your time and help, when i looked up binding dji drones it had almost every dji drone made but i couldn’t see my phantom thats why i was going crazy. So i guess that series dident have that option?? I dont know.
Unbinding is not an option in DJI GO 3/4.
See this “DJI Fly App Account and Device Binding/Unbinding Guide” from DJI for more details:
As of today, DJI will no longer assist with that process. More details are available here:
To check it it is bound, you can enter the serial No. here: https://repair.dji.com/device/Search?re=id&lang=en
Hey finn thank u for that, i appreciate your help and time for this info. Cheers
Thank you loud thunder appreciate ur time and info. Cheers
Hope you enjoy your p4 I have been flying my p4 since 2017
Welcome to the Forum, your P4 is so old; was that when Quadcopters only had “Two-Propellers…” L
L . . .
I understand those Early ones could not fly too high otherwise the sun melted the wax that held the propellers on… Double L
L . . .
That’s awsome i love the phantom best drone ever made IMO. Ps did u always fly with original batteries Or did u buy some generic batts. And if so what was ur experience, thanks for sharing. Cheers
Well the wax hasent melted off my propellers yet , i have 5 different flight speed modes many different camera and video modes and settings, flying in winds when others are swept away, quiet, agility and angle of attack awesome. Mmmm. What are the newest drones advantages??? And how do they compare. ![]()

I went from a P3 directly to a Mavic Pro. Skipped the P4. The only advantage that the P3 had over the Mavic was that it was easier to hand catch. Easy to grab the landing gear without getting close to spinning props - not so with the Mavic. The Mavic had better camera, speed, endurance, etc.
Yes the lighter drones have really good endurance i was impressed by that… But the p4 is really fast crazy fast for it’s size and weight. I won’t be flying 45 miles an hour anytime soon thats for sure.
Believe it or not I’m still using the original battery it’s a little swollen hard to get out at times but still holds a charge lol
Wow thats awsome good to know thanks for sharing…
