Am a new Drone Owner and Part 107 pilot. Have recorded the RTH in the pull down, have gone up the 7 required meters, calibrated the compass, but this thing is always a foot or two away from my launch pad… Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Your question is a bit confusing. If you are expecting pin point accuracy with RTH you are expecting too much. A foot or so after RTH, I would consider quite good. You can always cancel before descent and manually land if needed.
