In the FAQs about FAA Remote ID Compliance, DJI states Remote ID will not broadcast when outside of the US.
Okay , So what about others brands , if drone not in US it not broadcast like DJI ? or depend on brands by themselve?
I cannot speak on other brands as I only fly DJI drones. However, those brands can do whatever they choose.
Brands are not required to broadcast Remote ID. It’s the pilot’s responsibility to do so – even more so in cases where a Remote ID module needs to be attached to the drone when that feature is not built in.
If you are concerned about whether your drone is transmitting RID or not, upload one or more of the Drone Tracking Apps available at the Android or iOS Play Store, (use the FREE Ones…) that will run on your smartphone and see if it detects your drone. Since all apps are not equal, try several apps, especially if the app does not indicate your drone.
Oh, So sorry and thank you for information.
You mean , Download several apps to test RID right? in my phone.
Yes load the app on your smartphone. You live in Thailand and I do not know if this app is available for you, but the best one I use is Drone Scanner, available in the Google Play Story for Android…
This is the link for me here in the US.
Assuming you are running the DJI Fly App to fly your drone, you can also run the Drone Scanner on the same phone, if you do not have an old smart phone to put the app on. A lot of people buy a new smart phone and put the old phone away forgetting it can still be used for everything except making a phone call, the camera, the WiFi, etc…
If you are only using one phone, start the drone app, then start the Fly App. Start the start the drone, you do not even need to have it flying. If the drone is transmitting a RID, it will show up on the Drone App.
Okay i try by use Drone scanner , it can not find it but i will try other app. Thank you very much.
Ok but remember, DJI says that if RID is not required in your location, the drone does not transmit it, so if it is not required in your location, all the Drone Apps will not sense your drone…
