Will height change cause a crash

Neat video, but it could not be taken in Australia, it looked too much like here…
To misquote one of Australia’s Foremost Citizens, “That ain’t Australia…”

“This is Australia…” Form my Niece’s Facebook page last week…

If you are publishing it for general consumption, I would suggest you edit out the IV-Needle…

I had to laugh about the clock… We make jokes about our young people, They do not know how to write or read cursive handwriting, they do not know how to tell the time on an analog clock, and Roman Numerals are like little more than chicken scratches to them…

Finally, you photographed a plaques commerating the Queen’s visit, I will be sendint photos of here visit when she hit NZ in January '54, She spent more time in Australia touring the country and I do not know if she visited AUS or NZ first…

I’ve been in jail myself, back in the late '60s, 3-weeks; so no, I do not enjoy touring jails… But I did tour around Big Al becasue I’ve seen it so many times featured in a movie… and I used the Google maps to visit the other facilities and the view the location circles…

DId you notice that someone also brought a drone out…

i wouldnt stress on the arm. its a canula, just a plastic tube in my arm. go in to any hospital and everyone thats in a bed has one. just a soft line for giving or taking. Not many folks look at my stuff thats not related to them.
not Australia lol i guess not country Australia, but the gums over the river are pretty thats why they were in there. One of the fields with trees zipping past is a secondary airport. It was the original main airport, but too many civilians moved close to it so they had to move the big planes to a new location, al light aviation and choppers now.
you mentioned about one of the family was here when the queen came here, thats why the plaque with the details was in there. That glass bridge is cool to photograph. i have taken a few cool angles on that one. was too hot to do much yesterday.
kids and clocks. i can read analogue and roman and digital. i seldom even wear a watch these days.
did you like the music? i had a more opera kind deal with the sound going on. shared it to mum and she said it would be better as country. im not a fan of either but i do what people like to respect the audience.
No i hadnt noticed the drone. looks pretty cool. Illegal to drone jails in Australia.
I wanted to do the adelaide jail. i was looking for a camera that spins around like the drone does. Just put it on a tripod and let it go. Cant really find anything that was useable for a couple hundred $$
i was thinking a 4x4 remote vehicle. camera mounted to it. it drives in to each spot and takes the 360, then you move it a couple meters forward and take the next one. That way theres no one in the shot. its close to the ground so its not affected by breeze. shots should be alot clearer.
Maybe they could design one that takes the 360 at zero zoom. then takes the shots again with x2 zoom. that way images are clearer when you do zoom in. waiting on technology lol
i know go pro and 360 cam can do it but they need compilers and turn out as a mp4 instead of jpg
ok im going to go get a haircut i think. starting to look like a member of the beatles lol

Did you know that when you photograph a 360 degree globe (a photosphere) the drone takes 25 photos? It starts off where it is pointing and shoots 4-photos, High, Medium, Low, and Straight Down. It then turns 45-degrees counter clockwise (that’s to the Left… In case the “Coriolis Effect” makes your clocks turn the other way…) L  L . . .

It then shoots just 3-photos, High, Medium, Low, and rotates another 45-degrees, shoots 3-more and keeps doing this until it returns to its starting point.

When it downloads the 360, it stitches all the photos together to create that one photo. And the center of that photo is what the drone was pointing at to begin with. So if it is pointing at you, then you will be in the center of the photo…

When you upload the 360 to Google maps, and then when you click on it, that center view is what comes up first… and then you can scroll and zoom all around.

So, in case you did not know or thgink about this before, some photographic advice, before you shoot that globe, slowly turn your drone around in a circle that find the most appealing view then point your drone at that place and start your 360…

This is something I just discovered and I never thought about it previously. I usually just pointed the crone North and started the shooting and I did not realize that the google map always brought that scene first and centered…

More later…

i just start with what im really trying to show. so thorndon park was the reservoir. faced that way and hit start. yes i know it takes a heap of photos. on the mini 4 pro you have to delete them all after you do a 360°. it saves the 360° .jpg in the dji foler and then the panosheres in its own folder.

Flying the drone over Alcatraz Island is not a crime as it is no longer a prison, but it is still illegal as is it a National Park and that is illegal. We also have lots of no-no areas… Wilderness areas, sporting events, national parks, military installations, even within 3,000 feet of a naval ship, and there are more and I imagine it’s much the same with you…

Maybe you have different Beatles in Australia…

tenor

like ringo star? english i believe
alot is banned here. national parks is same here which i dont get.
as long as you dont break the 30 meter rule with getting close to people i dont see a problem.
i found a wetlands that is just meters inside the fly zone
i flew that after i got the crew cut.

There are and only will be one musical group known as the Beatles… I was just pulling your leg because I’ve seen you in your vid from early one… By the way, do you realize that this thread has almost 230 postings in it… We might want to consider starting a new one or only posting from within a Private Message…

From that vid you made, you do not need a haircut… and you do not look like any Beetle, no matter where they are from…

As for flying over people here in the US, it is a NO-NO, but they do not specify any distance you must remain from them, just not overhead… We also have rules about flying over traffic.

I don’t remember if I showed you this map. I live at the point of the pin.

The Blue circles are military controlled airspaces and requires special permission to fly in some of that area, The Green area is an international airport and I can get clearance on-line. The Red areas are national parks and there is no flying there… If you look due south of my position under the words “Newport News” is located a Huge Shipyard and there are US Navy ships under construction and there is no flying within 3,000-feet of Navy ships, even those under construction…

Well, supper ready and I going to flush the toilet water swirl down in the correct counter-clockwise direction, unlike your toilets that flush in a clockwise direction… L o L . . .
Old joke, it really only happens on sinks… most toilets have jets to direct the flush to better empty the bowl…

Do you get the cartoon, “The Simpsons”? The Simpsons has been on the air here in the US since 1989, over 35 years old. It is the longest-running animated television series in the United States. It goes to show why the intelligence of Americans is going down the drain…

Later… “Woosh…………”

yeah we get the Simpsons.
The better version of the flushing the wrong way was the episode where bart rings australia to find out what way they flush. kid answers the phone, on long distance call, and walks to where ever to find a toilet that flushes. long story short the phone call cost a huge amount. simpsons get called to Australia for a but kicking. i cant do it justice. that was good episode.
not that i watch free to air. just netflix and youtube these days. i hate commercials. it had been a month since i had a haircut so it was a little long. now im sporting a crew cut so im safe for another month now lol
As for a lot of posts, it doesnt worry me. If they have a issue they will let it be known.
Alot of what we talk about is going to answer issues that some people will find helpfull.
its generating activity on their server. i wouldnt stress about it.

Your bridge is really beautiful, but mine is so much cooler, it opens and to let Naval ships pass…

This is the George P. Coleman Memorial Bridge (known as simply the Coleman Bridge) is a double swing bridge that spans the York River between Yorktown and Gloucester Point, in the United States state of Virginia.

This is the Photosphere I made of it…

And here is a short YouTube Video of it in action… Someone else shot the video…

cool vid. our bridge like that folds up. i just got a google notification that the place that i made on google maps, by where they build the destroyers and subs, has had 300 likes, and they want me to make more lol

Not as cool as a spinny bridge, but this is our bridge. i want to get my drone on it for a open and close.
Thats where the city of adelaide is. This is a very old video and not mine. It was the day they opened that bridge.

someone pulled a stealth mission doing it at night. (illegal in Australia)

We also have another one called Birkenhead bridge that opens. i couldnt find good video of it opening. There was an 70’s kids show on tv called curiosity show. They did a piece on it. Great quality hahahahahaha but its ours. ill endevour to get the drone on them when they open.

Wow, Cool, I’ve never gotten such a notice. I have been posting for years and I have never received anything like this…

I usually go to maps, click on the “Three Lines” in the search box, then click on Contributions, then click on Photos and it brings all the photos I’ve posted and the number of views…

This is a screen grab from my other persona “Barney DeCat” that I used before I got a drone. This one of the old Post Office that is still in use received almost 100,000 views…

I wonder if this notice is unique to places other than the US or something new for new postings and I have not yet gotten to 300 on any of my recent postings…

Once thing I can say is it feeds the ego and makes you want to post more…

Congrats!

it might be a case of it been in such a short timeframe. 300+ views in 2 weeks might be a lot.

You might be on to something, that photo had been posted for over 5-years… I have other photos posted that must have the plaque as the have almost no hits in numerous years…

Did you wander around and find the Oval Office (that is the President’s Office…). If so, did you notice that the Oval Office has been sanitized. All references to the president at the time are gone… Even the “Resolute desk”

The Resolute Desk is a double pedestal partners’ desk made from the oak timbers of the British ship HMS Resolute. In 1880, Queen Victoria gifted the desk to President Rutherford B. Hayes. It has been used by nearly every president since, with the notable exceptions being Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, and Gerald R. Ford.

This is a photo of President Biden’s Oval Office…

That Desk is featured in the Movie, “National Treasure…”

I’ve looked at ta lot of photos of presidents in the Oval Office and none have these curtains… and in the photos of the Presidents in the past, none had chairs behind them infront fo the windows…

So, this photo is so staged and sanitized… I wonder if it’s a Hollywood stage…

I did notice that. Well i thought similar. Obviously im an Australian so i dont know the layout in there, but when i got in there i was thinking it was the oval office.
october 27th 2023 was when the photos were taken. possibly they were swapping presidents ?
must be a cold place to be during winter. so many huge rooms. I cant imagine they still use the fireplace for warmth, unless the logs are for show, and they have real aircon sitting inside the chimney out of sight to regulate the temperature. cant really get to much in there. cant get to the west wing where the tunnels are or anything lol
