This is why I was flying the drone that day. The very first clip is when it went down right after I lost contact with it.
This brings up a fairly common scenario of losing a drone in heavy cover/trees/etc. I live in the North Carolina woods and can certainly see how this could happen. Using visual aids to draw one’s eyes to a lost drone must have been covered somewhere in these excellent forums. I’m thinking of wrapping florescent surveys tape around one or more of the propeller booms of my Mavic Pro. It wouldn’t take much to create some loud color on the AC and could be secured with some transparent tape to keep it in place. I’d love to hear other ideas.
Neon and or reflective duct tape I think. In case you have to look for it at night
